A quiet room
for loud work
Cindervane opened on Mulberry Street in 1999 with two chairs, one autoclave and a strict rule: draw everything from scratch. Twenty-seven years later the room is bigger but the rule never changed — every piece that leaves this studio starts as pencil on paper, drawn for one body only.
We keep the diary light on purpose. Three resident artists, one guest chair, and enough time per client to argue about placement, talk you out of bad ideas, and draw the good ones twice.

How we work
01
Consultation
An hour with your artist. References, placement, budget and honest advice — including “don't do that”.
02
Drawing
Your design is drawn from scratch and sent for approval before ink day. Two revision rounds included.
03
Ink day
Single-use everything, hospital-grade sterilisation, and breaks whenever you need them. No rushing.
04
Healing
Second-skin wrap, our aftercare kit and a free touch-up check at eight weeks. We answer DMs while you peel.
“A tattoo should look inevitable — as if your body was waiting for that exact drawing.”— Marcus Reed, founder
