How do I book an appointment?
Send a consultation request through our contact form with your idea, placement, size and budget. Your artist replies with a quote and diary options; a deposit from our shop secures the chair. The deposit comes off your final session price.
How much will my tattoo cost?
Small fine-line pieces start around $120. Half-day sessions run $600–$900, full days $1,200–$1,600 depending on the artist. Sleeves and back pieces are quoted per project after consultation — never per hour with surprises.
Does it hurt?
Honestly: yes, some. Bony and soft areas (ribs, feet, sternum) sting most; outer arms and thighs are famously manageable. Most clients describe it as annoying rather than awful, and we schedule breaks whenever you ask.
Can you cover up my old tattoo?
Very often, yes — Silas specialises in exactly that. Dark, dense old work gives us the most to work with; faded colour sometimes benefits from one or two laser sessions first. Bring it to a consultation and you'll get a straight answer.
How should I prepare for ink day?
Sleep, eat a real meal, skip alcohol for 24 hours, and moisturise the area for a few days before (not the day of). Wear something that gives easy access to the placement, and bring snacks — full days are marathons.
How do I heal a new tattoo?
We wrap you in second skin and send you home with our aftercare kit: gentle wash, fragrance-free balm, and a day-by-day guide. Keep it clean, keep it lightly moisturised, keep it out of sun and pools for three weeks. Message us photos any time you're unsure.
Do you do walk-ins?
On announced flash days only — follow the journal for dates. The rest of the week is appointments, because custom work deserves unhurried time. Small flash from the wall can sometimes fit between bookings; call ahead and ask.
I'm under 18. Can I get tattooed?
No — New York requires 18+ with valid photo ID, no exceptions, and we check. Parents can't consent on a minor's behalf here. Come see us on your eighteenth birthday instead; first-timer consultations are free that week.
