The brief
A painter client asked for the one thing tattooers warn against: flat, saturated fields of colour with almost no line to hold them. We said yes on one condition — we do it our way, with hidden structure.
Beneath the colour sits a skeleton of whip-shaded grey that nobody sees but everybody feels: it keeps edges crisp as the skin ages and gives each field a direction to fade in. Three sessions, one field family per sitting.
