You leave the studio wrapped in second skin with a kit and a guide. Then the questions start at midnight. Here are the answers, in the order you'll need them.
Day one: leave it alone
Keep the second skin on for three to five days. The fluid pooling underneath looks alarming and is completely normal — plasma doing its job. If the seal breaks and leaks, remove it early, wash gently, and switch to the thin-cling-and-balm routine in your kit.
Days two to three: wash like you mean it
Twice daily: clean hands, lukewarm water, the fragrance-free wash from your kit, pat dry with a clean towel. Then a layer of balm so thin you'd swear it isn't there. Thick ointment suffocates; thin balm protects.
Moisturise like a rumour, not a sandwich. Thin layers, twice a day.
What is not normal
- Redness spreading outward after day three, heat, or fever — call us and a doctor.
- Itching at week two is normal. Scratching is not — slap the skin beside it instead.
- No sun, no pools, no gym-mat friction for three full weeks. Shade is free.
Message us photos any time you're unsure — healed-result DMs are our favourite part of the week. And if you'd rather have everything in one box, our Aftercare Ritual Kit is exactly what we hand out in the studio.
